I am looking for a movie were there were Native Americans and settlers, very urgent.?

The settlers came onto the island they were on and there was some trading that happened between both groups. The settlers eventually started to kill the Native Americans so they fled the island. The son and daughter of the chief of the tribe got left behind. They were kids, and the daughter eventually got killed by some wolves on the island. I remember a wolf being stabbed, but I think the boy trapped it until it healed. I saw this movie numerous times in elementary school, and I think once in middle school.
