Good ideas for vintage clothing?

So i'm not the kind of girl that dresses up alot/that likes dresses/heels or that sort of thing. I dress kind of punk-esque with a hint of emo i guess you could say most of the time lol. I wear skinny jeans, studded belts, converse, vans, that sort of thing. Seeing as i'm 18, i sometimes to go out to the bars and whatnot and i kind of need to wear more dress-ier things other than just my jeans and a t-shirt, but still clothes that kind of fit into my style genre. Since i don't really like dressing up, i've started to kind of taking a liking to vintage style clothes for if i have to dress up. I already have a few pairs of leggings that i wear with a few long shirts i have but i don’t really know where to go from there. You know the girls you see on the street that wear leggings with long shirts and short boots, I want to shop for that sort of thing. I don't know if this is what you would call 'vintage' but it's my perception of vintage lol. I kind of want to buy some clothes like that but i just don't really know how to coordinate it/how to pair what with what. So if anyone knows how to get started and what sort of things to buy with maybe some example it would really help me out a lot! :)
