My dog bit my mom and now my roomates want her gone what do i do?

so my dog bit my mom on Ier hand today and she had to get three stitches. this was the first time she bit anyone. my mom is fine but now my roommates are scared and want her gone. the only other time she has been somewhat aggressive is when my guy roommate seems like he is hurting us just playing around. i want to try everything meaning training or using a mussel just anything before i make the decision to give her away. what can i do? any advice would be helpful . my dog means the world to of she is a mixed breed and not even two years old yet.
