Do I have to quarantine this bird?

. If you ever heard some of the horror stories I have as a moderator on another bird chat ,you would not even consider not quarantining a new bird. So maybe the place is spotless and germ free. In comes a customer looking for a bird because hers died. She asks to handle a bird. A few days later you buy that bird. It gets sick and dies Now your bird is exposed.That is why we quarantine. It isn't always possible to quarantine 100% but we do the best we can. Disease is not always visible. Some incubation periods are 10 days or more. before symptoms show. Ask your vets opinion . Bet he says" Quarantine."
